Flagship Store Mannheim - a fashion store bathed in light

The new Peek & Cloppenburg flagship store on Planken is light and open. The construction is a radiant glass cube, which is illuminated with daylight from all sides. Light is the most important construction element of Richard Meier, the world-famous New York architect who, after designing the headquarters in Düsseldorf, has now once again created a flagship store for Peek & Cloppenburg in Mannheim. “Light is life” is his motto. All his constructions are illuminated works of art which fascinate the visitors with their clever light effects.

It’s no coincidence that Richard Meier ranks among the celebrated master builders for modern museums. With a great deal of skill, he presents exhibits in the most flattering light. The fashion of Peek & Cloppenburg is also given this special treatment. After all, there is no light in the world that is better for observing fashion and fabrics than natural daylight.

The new glass fashion cube is a paragon of transparency and openness. It ensures attractive glimpses from outside and inside. From the street, it looks like a lively window display. From inside, one can enjoy the view of the street life, the neighbourhood houses and across the roofs of the city.

Richard Meier has made it his goal to turn the new P&C flagship store into an architectural point of attraction. See for yourself! Visit his new glass architectural work of art and find fashion for you at Peek & Cloppenburg.
